How to play Word Recall
Read the aim of Word Recall, then make your first move. Identify new and previously seen words before losing three lives. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Use the opening round to become familiar with the layout. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

Focus on one rule
Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow. Keep the objective visible.
Your goal
Identify new and previously seen words before losing three lives. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.
Step by step

- Three mistakes end the round.
Controls
Click or tap one of the two answer buttons. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.
A useful example
PLANT seen earlier in the same round requires Seen before. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Check the stated objective.
Watch out for this
A word from an earlier round does not count as seen now. Compare the situation with the worked example. Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use.
